From Filthy Rags to Fine Linen

Isaiah 64:6
But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.

It is heartbreaking to see how all the world's problems are being blamed on Israel. Nation upon nation, including some in our own nation, are hellbent on seeing Israel fall to the wayside and disappear from the world's stage.

Unjust proclamations of their so-called oppression and occupation of a land, that was promised to the children of Israel from the beginning, by the Holy God of Heaven, is being broadcast from almost every corner of the world today.

From universities and colleges to our public houses of government are acting as agents of Satan, as they stand and yell in protest, claiming the evil deeds and destruction of Israel.

The United Nations has done nothing but condemn Israel for every little thing that has happened since 1948 to the latest tragedies provoked by her enemies.

Yet, Israel still stands, and will stand forever by a promise God has made. Many kings have tried to overcome Israel by force, occupation, invasion, and eradication, and yet, the people of God survive.

Genesis 13:14 And the Lord said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: “Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are—northward, southward, eastward, and westward; 15 for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever."

Until the world, our own leadership notwithstanding, realizes that the problems in this world is not Israel, but sin and demonic powers that rule. For that is the heart of the issue, and has always been from the very beginning when sin struck the heart of man.

Until we, as creations of God, acknowledge our sins, and know that our righteousness is like filthy rags before a holy God, as Isaiah said, "We will all fade as a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."

If hold to this truth and trust in the Lord Jesus and appeal to His sovereign will and righteousness, we will discard those filthy rags and be dress out in fine linens.

Your servant in Christ,
