Isaiah 5:20
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
It's not hard to see that what this nation, and the world for that matter, is going through to prove that what leaders and politicians are doing in the name of goodness.
We see laws and edicts being levied to advance the wicked and stifle the righteous. We see politicians selling their souls to the devil for power and authority in exchange for carrying out Satan's evil deeds - all the while calling it good for us.
We are seeing the bible being refuted and claim it to be a book full of myths and fairy tales, with pastors and preachers of churches refusing to preach solid and true doctrine. Instead, they hold onto fantasies with a diminished and distorted view of a Holy God and a false gospel.
Sadly, the sheep of the so-called flock are having their ears tickled by these wolves and hirelings. The people who cling to these heretics are being deceived by those who are deceived themselves.
2 Timothy 3:13 "But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived."
This sort of thing is nothing new. This world, since the time of Adam and Eve has been fraught with deception. The issue for the Christian - a true faithful believer - is to be able to discern the difference between what is truly good and what is purely evil, and moreover, being totally dependent on God
If we cling to ungodly and unbiblical principals to govern our lives, we will end up standing before Jesus one day and have to give an answer why we did this or that. If our answer is not satisfactory or if we try to defend ourselves with ignorance, we stand to lose more than can be imagine, and the alternative is nothing to ignore.
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
I don't know about you, but I don't want to be that guy!
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
1 Peter 2:15 "For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men"
I would encourage everyone to heed Isaiah's words and prove yourself worthy of the call.
Listen to Paul says about how we can do this:
Ephesians 4:1 "I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."
Your servant in Christ, Tom
